Expertise & Approach

Biography

Anna Turnock is a Registered Psychologist with more than 20 years’ experience supporting adults across private practice, rehabilitation and multidisciplinary healthcare settings. She is also a Certified Eating Disorder Clinician (CEDC-MH) with a particular interest in the psychological factors that influence eating behaviours, weight management and long-term health.

Anna works with adults experiencing emotional eating, binge eating, eating disorders, body image concerns, and the challenges associated with medical weight loss and bariatric surgery. She also supports clients with anxiety, mood disorders, ADHD, adjustment to chronic health conditions and life transitions.

Her therapeutic approach integrates Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Enhanced CBT (CBT-E), schema-informed interventions and trauma-informed care. She recognises that eating behaviours and health habits are influenced by emotional, cognitive and environmental factors, and has a particular interest in supporting neurodivergent adults, understanding the unique ways ADHD and autism can influence eating patterns, emotional regulation, sensory experiences and sustainable behaviour change.

Anna is passionate about creating a warm, collaborative and non-judgemental therapeutic space where clients feel understood, supported and empowered to make meaningful, lasting changes to their health and wellbeing.
